At the end of a cul-de-sac in Barrington, this property is seen by just about everyone who drives down the street. Opening up the views of the house and other landscape features was a priority from the beginning. Once blocked by large evergreens, a charming arched gate revealed itself as a beautiful backdrop to the re-imagined front landscape. Creating a foreground with interest and color that kept the views open from the street was a main part of the design program. Turning the once dilapidated culverts under the driveway into a creek bed with seasonal interest gives the homeowner and his neighbors a welcoming return near the street.
